REPLY:
The following report went to the September Organisation, Procedure & Finance Committee Meeting 24th September 2020
A number of vacancies exist on the following committees/statutory bodies previously held by Councillor W. Priestley who recently resigned his position of Councillor on South Dublin County Council and subsequently disqualified from membership of these committees.
- Eastern & Midlands Regional Assembly
- Joint Policing Committee
It was proposed by Councillor L. Sinclair and seconded by Councillor E. O’Brien and AGREED that Councillor L. Donaghy be appointed to Eastern & Midlands Regional Assembly due to the resignation of Councillor W. Priestley.
It was proposed by Councillor L. Sinclair and seconded by Councillor E. O’Brien and AGREED that Councillor C. Bailey be appointed to Joint Policing Committee due to the resignation of Councillor W. Priestley.
At the September Council meeting it was agreed that Councillor L. Sinclair be appointed Chair of the Land Use, Transportation & Planning SPC following the resignation of Councillor W. Priestley therefore there is now a vacancy on the following SPC:
- Environment, Public Realm, Climate Change & Biodiversity SPCIt was proposed by Councillor L. Sinclair and seconded by Councillor P. Kavanagh and AGREED that Councillor C. O’Byrne be appointed to the Environment, Public Realm, Climate Change & Biodiversity SPC. Following the appointment of Councillor C. O’Byrne to the Environment, Public Realm, Climate Change & Biodiversity SPC there is now a vacancy on the following SPC:
- It is a matter for the Council to appoint a replacement to the above position and this is now before the Members for consideration and recommendation.
- Housing SPCIt was proposed by Councillor L. Sinclair and seconded by Councillor E. O’Brien and AGREED that Councillor L. Donaghy be appointed to the Housing SPC.
- It is a matter for the Council to appoint a replacement to the above position and this is now before the Members for consideration and recommendation.
This is now before Council for approval.
