QUESTION: Councillor G. O'Connell

To ask the Chief Executive for the average cost of keeping a family of two adults and two children in B&B type accommodation, per night and per week.

REPLY:

The Dublin Region Homeless Executive (DRHE) is managed by Dublin City Council as the lead statutory authority in the response to homelessness in Dublin and operates a shared serviceh across the Dublin region on behalf of South Dublin County Council, Fingal County Council and Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council.  The costs of the provision of family hubs and other emergency accommodation are administered and paid for by the DRHE and the current average cost of accommodating a family in hotel or B&B accommodation is approximately €112 per night.
