QUESTION: Councillor L. O'Toole
This committee in its previous term agreed to have a monitoring committee in place for the Lucan United and Airlie Heights residents. It was also understood that progress on the new pitch would be communicated to members, could the Chief Executive provide this committee with an update on the facility and the monitoring committee.
REPLY:
The proposeed new pitch is currently at tender assessment stage, with the local club finalising financial matters. No start date has been detailed as yet. This is unchanged since the previous update to the members.
The local monitoring committee was agreed to be formed following the construction of the all-weather pitch to monitor the operation of it on an on-going basis. As the construction has not been completed, the Local Monitoring Committee has not yet been established.
The membership of the committee will comprise of the following membership;
SDCC Management x 2
Airlie Residents Association x 2
Lucan United FC x 2
Local Elected Representatives x 2 (previously agreed to be; Councillor O'Toole and Councillor O'Brien (Acting as the then Lucan Area Committee Chair))
