MOTION: Councillor Shane Moynihan

That this Area Committee requests the provision of quarterly Tree Maintenance reports as a headed item, detailing the works performed in the previous quarter and the works planned for the subsequent quarter.

REPORT:

 A quarterly report outlining details of the tree programme will be listed as a headed item for Area Committee Meetings. See below details of the tree programme in the area.

In addition to the planned whole estate and road programme, reactive and emergency works is carried out on individual trees as necessary to minimise risks to the public. Emergency and reactive tree works will normally take priority over the planned programme of tree maintenance works. Since the start of 2020 – there have been 6 storms since the start of 2020.

The following list outlines the tree work based on the Tree Maintenance Programme which took place in Lucan, Palmerstown/Fonthill area since the beginning of 2020

No tree maintenance took place due to Covid restriction and the prioritisation of cleansing and grass cutting work.
