QUESTION NO. 8
QUESTION: Councillor L. Dunne
To ask the Manager for an update on the delivery of the 40 one beds that were to be delivered to the Council as part of the Part 5 in Citywest Village.
REPLY:
The original planning application for Citywest Village was for 400 units which entitled the Council to a Part V yield of 40 units. However, there were various additional permissions that altered this with the final alteration being 384 units in the development. The Council agreed a Part V with the developer to provide 38 units. The Council have agreed the nomination of Fold Housing to acquire these units. There is a total of 22 one bed apartments within the Citywest Village development for delivery in 2020 and 16 houses, 13 of which were delivered in 2019 with the balance due for delivery in 2021.
The Council has also agreed, with a separate developer, to provide 24 one bed apartments in Cúil Duin, Citywest which will be provided for older persons housing. This scheme is also being acquired by Fold Housing who have experience in providing older persons specific housing.
