MOTION: Councillor G. O'Connell

To compliment the Library department for the delivery of the North Clondalkin Library and for the excellent and imaginative service being provided in the Palmerstown Digital Hub.

REPORT:

“South Dublin County Library Service welcomes the support of Members in the planning of both North Clondalkin Library and Palmerstown Library Digital Hub.

We anticipate opening the new Library NCL in October, subject to Government restrictions/guidelines around Covid-19. As part of Culture Night on 18^th September we gave members of the public a sneak preview of the new library. We also launched the Redline Book Festival programme there on 15^th September. Feedback from the public is very good and there is great enthusiasm in the locality for the new library. Staff will continue to engage and work with local groups, schools and organisations to make the library a huge success.”
