QUESTION: Councillor C. O'Connor

To ask the Chief Executive to detail plans for new housing in Killinarden Estate, Tallaght, will he appreciate the interest being generated in respect of the project and will he make a statement?

REPLY:

A tender was published on the 6th July seeking submissions from interested parties to design and deliver a sustainable high quality medium density neighbourhood at Killinarden.  The closing date was the 6th September which was extended to the 18th September.  The development site has a capacity for the delivery of 500 units, subject to planning permission.  The required tenure mix is 300 affordable units, 100 social units, 100 private units, a creche and a community building incorporating a sports pavillion.  The tenders received will be evaluated in the first instance progressing to issuing an invitation to participate in the dialogue stage, followed by issuing an invitation to submit a final tender.
