QUESTION NO. 4
QUESTION: Councillor Eoin Ó Broin
"Can the Chief Executive outline the cleaning regime in place for St. Cuthbert's Park, Clondalkin? Users of the park claim that litter builds up in the park on a regular basis which makes it more difficult to carry out sporting activities there. The users of the park who have contacted me are sceptical as to what cleaning regime is in place for the park?"
REPLY:
Littering in St Cuthbert’s Park is still ongoing and is sporadic in nature. It is not possible to predict or quantify when and how much material will be dumped. Dumping has been seen to reoccur within 24 hours of a clean-up taking place. For this reason, cleansing of the park tends to coincide with the removal of rubbish as it appears at a minimum of once per month and often on an increased frequency if the need requires.
