MOTION: Councillor S. O'Hara

"That this Area Committee seeks changes to the proposed Masterplan for the Stoney Lane area of Rathcoole with a view to developing the area whilst protecting the Woodlands."

REPORT:

South Dublin County Council commissioned a non-statutory masterplan for residential development of lands in Rathcoole as per the zoning objective for the lands in the County Development plan 2016-2022.  The draft masterplan is indicative in nature and will be subject to further review by South Dublin County Council following the outcome of further studies currently being carried out at the site.  Once completed baseline surveys will inform the mitigation design of any proposed development at the site and changes to the non-statutory masterplan.
