QUESTION: Councillor E. O'Brien

To ask the Chief Executive to provide an update in relation to construction of the swimming pool in Griffeen Valley Park in Lucan

REPLY:

Construction of the new Lucan Swimming Pool was scheduled for completion in February 2021. However, the impact of COVID -19 on the construction programme, temporary closure of the site and implementation of updated health and safety practices in line with public health guidelines may impact on the project completion date. Prior to the COVID 19 public health emergency, the construcion programme was on schedule. South Dublin County Council are awaiting a report from the contractors on any anticipated impact.
