QUESTION: Councillor Joanna Tuffy

To ask the Chief Executive Officer to give an update on the number of houses allocated to people on the Council housing list in the Lucan Electoral Area in the past year and if he will make a statement on the matter

REPLY:

177 properties were allocated to applicants on South Dublin's housing list in the last 12 months in Lucan/Palmerstown/Fonthill area. 

South Dublin County Council, in collaboration with the Deparment of Housing, Planning and Local Government and Approved Housing Bodies, will continue to deliver social homes across the County, through construction and acquistion programmes.

In addition to this, South Dublin County Council is currently providing approximately 2,900 homes through the Housing Assistance Payment(HAP) scheme and nearly 1,100 homes through the Rental Accommodation Scheme (RAS).
