MOTION: Councillor Shane Moynihan

That this Area Committee calls for the installation of extra public litter bins at Ballyowen Park, Lucan. 

REPORT:

A new bin was installed in Ballyowen Park inside the entrance at the junction of Castle Road/Fonthill Road. It was proposed to install a second bin at the entrance opposite the Divine Mercy Church during April however this was put on hold due to Covid 19 restrictions.  This bin will now be installed in June. A bin will also be installed at the equine centre side of the park.

The bins are being installed on a trial basis and will be retained subject to them not being abused, vandalised or used for the disposal of domestic waste.
