QUESTION: Councillor Shane Moynihan

To ask the Chief Executive for a revised timetable for the opening of the North Clondalkin library, in light of the impact of the COVID-19 restrictions. 

REPLY:

“The contractor returned to work in North Clondalkin Library on 18th May and is currently finishing final snagging list of items. South Dublin Libraries expects handover of the building in the next two weeks. Following handover, we will commence the installation of furniture and fittings with an expected timeframe of three months. We anticipate the opening of the new Library is late September, early October 2020.”
