QUESTION NO. 13
QUESTION: Councillor Eoin Ó Broin
Is it expected to have a Community Infrastructure Fund this year? If so when might it be launched?
REPLY:
Ordinarily, the Community Infrastructure Fund would have been advertised and applications would have been under assessment at present. However, given the current circumstances whereby groups have not been in a position to carry out their usual activities and project development work as well as facing new and unforeseen challenges in using existing facilities in light of Covid-19 related restrictions and requirements, consideration is being given by the community development team about how best to utilise the budgetary provisions for all community grants to best support groups in meeting such challenges. To this end, proposals on community funding will be explored and presented to the Elected Members and the Social, Community & Equality SPC in the coming months.
