MOTION: Councillor Sandra Fay

This area committee calls on management to implement a mobile library stop in Citywest at the earliest possible date, given the lack of public facilities and amenities in the Citywest area. This can be done by extending the timetable beyond a 4.5 days per week. Or secondly when one of the two new libraries are opened in 2020.

REPORT:

"Library staff were looking at the mobile timetable and hoped to provide a stop in Citywest in the near future, but due to Covid-19 restrictions and new safety guidelines that will have to be implemented, the safe return of the mobile library service is under review. The roster of staff and the hours the mobile library work is a matter for the executive".
