QUESTION: Councillor Peter Kavanagh

"To ask the Chief Executive for a report on the number of people in the Clondalkin area currently on the Housing List, in receipt of HAP and in emergency accommodation?"

REPLY:

965 applicants on the Social housing list that have listed Clondalkin in their address.  It should be noted however that many applicants, currently renting outside of Clondalkin, may have originally lived in the area.

There are 727 HAP tenancies managed by South Dublin County Council with an address in Clondalkin.

There are 561 applicants (families and singles) currently listed with homeless priority in South Dublin.  It is not possible to give a breakdown specifically for Clondalkin, for those with homeless priority, as addresses change once families move into emergency accommodation.
