MOTION: Councillor E. O'Brien

To ask the Chief Executive to report on actions taken following the Esker Drive Residents Association deputation meeting of the 25th October 2017, summarised as follows:

• Monitoring of construction traffic
• Dates of commencement notices are in order
• Potential for footpath widening
• Cycle Tracks a spart of planning process
• Park and Stride faciity at Lucan Harriers

REPORT:

 1. Construction Traffic is using the routes defined on the Construction management Plan.

2.  There are a number of Commencement Notice’s submitted for Lucan Community College

•  SD10A/0144   Two prefab classrooms and office at rear of Lucan Community College.   CN received 23 August 2010  start date 6 September 2010
•  SD14A/0086 The development will consist of 1no. single storey temporary unit that will include 3no classrooms,   CN Received 03/09/2014   start date 18/09/2014 
• SD15A/0117   Provision of a temporary single storey prefabricated building comprising 2 classrooms, communal corridor, a science room and prep room as an extension to the existing 2 classroom temporary block  CN submitted 11.07-16   start date 19^th July 16
• SD15A/0117   Construction of a stand-alone, prefabricated single storey building comprising 6 classrooms, communal corridor and office to be delivered in 3 phases  CN Submitted on 24 September, 2015   start date 9^th Oct 2016

• SD15A/0117 Provision of a temporary single storey prefabricated building comprising 2 classrooms, communal corridor, a science room and prep room as extension to existing 2 classroom temporary block  submitted 24^th Sept 2015 Start date 9^th Oct 2015

3. The footpath widths on Esker Drive are adequate. Removing the trees and widening the footpath is not supported by the Council.

4. No cycle lanes outside planning application boundaries have been sought for the location.

5.The Council will be exploring means of making the car park available during AM and PM school drop off and pick up periods under new Gate Automation measures to be implemented.
