Coolamber (Caslte View, Newcastle Rd.)

To ask Chief Executive to provide a report on the housing development in Coolamber, this development was acquired by AHB Respond last year and number discussions took place on the matter whereby considerations would be given in relation to an affordable scheme and providing units that would be of 'universal design'

REPLY:

Respond Housing are to acquire the 94 homes on this site for the provision of social housing. They have advised they will work with the Council to review the possibility of providing a number of affordable rental units on completion of the scheme and that they will review particular units which are suitable for adaptation for tenants with specific housing needs.
