MOTION: Councillor G. O'Connell

This committee calls on the Chief Executive, on foot of the feasibility study into the Silver Bridge, to enter into firm negotiations with Fingal Council to formulate a plan for bringing the bridge into use by pedestrians and cyclists and not just seek to preserve the historic bridge, and, include in the process the procurement for public use the land on the South of the River that will facilitate the practical use of th Bridge as an impotent piece of Liffey Valley Greenway.

REPORT:

The feasibility study for the Guinness/Silver Bridge has now been completed by CORA Consulting Engineers and is scheduled to be presented to the May Lucan, Palmerstown, Fonthill Area Committee meeting.
