KINGSWOOD HEIGHTS - FOOTPATH SINKAGE

QUESTION: Councillor K. Warren

'To ask the Manager could he carry out an inspection of  the footpath outside *details supplied and to clarify who is responsible for the sinkage in this area which is causing the piller at this address to lift from its foundation and will he make a statement on the matter'

REPLY:

The area has been inspected and no subsidence was found in the general area, with the footpath surface in good condition. The pillar and wall in question, has been mainly constructed on the footpath with little or no foundation and is very vulnerable to movement or damage. It was noticed that areas of the wall have already been repointed.

The repair of the wall is the responsibility of the householder.
