MOTION: Councillor L. Kinsella-Colman

That the Chief Executive be asked to bring forward a report to this  Area Committee for discussion on the need to keep cycle lanes clear of all over hanging branches from trees next to the lanes?

REPORT:

The responsibility for cutting overhanging branches rests with the landowner on whose property the trees grow.

If the Councillor is aware of any particular stretch of cycletrack that is overgrown then Roads Dept. can send a notice to the landowner involved.
