MOTION: Councillor L. O'Toole

That this committee recognizes the success of junior parkrun in Griffeen Park, and asks that the Chief Executive puts in place in lucan library a system that allows parkrun participants to print their barcodes in the library. New members start up regularly and not all have access to printer and this initiative would be very welcomed by all.

REPORT:

“SDCC Libraries allows members of the public to print items in all our branch libraries at a nominal charge. The print system in place ‘Surfbox’ is run by a commercial company and allows patrons to send their items via email to their nearest library location. They are given a print release number and can collect their items having paid the required amount currently set at 20c per black and white page. Participants in the parkrun would need to print off their barcodes in advance of the race during library opening times”.
