QUESTION: Councillor Alan Hayes

To ask the Chief Executive if the Aldi complex in Palmerstown Village would be a suitable location for a bottle recycling centre and if any approach has been made to the owners.

REPLY:

Aldi complex in Palmerstown Village was inspected on 14th February 2020. It is a suitable location for a bottle bank if they can give us four parking spaces for the location of at least two bottle banks in the space. Following the inspection, a letter was written to the Chief Executive of Aldi in Naas Headquarters on 14th February 2020 seeking permission to locate some bottle banks in Aldi shopping centre in Palmerstown. This letter is attached. We are awaiting a response from the Chief Executive of Aldi.
