QUESTION: Councillor Eoin Ó Broin

"To ask the Chief Executive if any public buildings in the LEA are available in South Dublin County Council for civil ceremonies (marriages)?"

REPLY:

No provision has been made for this and would require consideration of suitable venue, availability, limit on numbers and other health & safety /event management considerations and any specific HSE requirements. Facilitating civil ceremonies in the Clondalkin office could potentially impact on our provision of customer services there as again the concourse would be the only suitable space and the opening hours are limited to our public customer service hours.
