QUESTION NO. 10
QUESTION: Councillor Eoin Ó Broin
"To ask the Chief Executive if the homeless unit of South Dublin County Council has an Outreach Officer for liaising with the citizens of the county currently without fixed abode?"
REPLY:
South Dublin County Council provides an outreach service to individuals who are in need of homeless services. This post is vacant at present as the post holder left to take up other employment. This post will be filled using normal HR procedures.
The Housing First Intake Team also visit known locations multiple times to find the individuals who are sleeping rough and engage with them so they can establish the best way to support that person.
If members of the public are concerned about rough sleepers, they can report their concerns to www.homelessdublin.ie/-rough-sleeper.
