Draft Public Realm Improvement Works Programme 2020

The following is the list of improvement works proposed for the Tallaght area for 2020.  These proposals have been compiled from issues raised as agenda items at area committee meetings throughout the course of the year, undertakings given in response to members representations throughout the year as well as works that have been identified by staff.  It should be noted that the list provided does not include those works which have already been included in the Council's three year rolling capital works programme, it includes only those works of a small scale which are to be funded from the revenue budget.  

This list of schemes, along with lists of schemes for the other electoral areas, will be presented to the meeting of the County Council in February 2020 for the approval of the elected members.

4 Tymon Park Install workout area at Castletymon side of park.
6 Tymon Park Resurface Tymon Lane at rear of basketball arena.
 7 Virginia Heights, Springfield Remove encroaching grass and resurface.
 8 Aylesbury open space Widen access to park near playspace.
 9 Cairnwood Court, Tallaght Provide access from Cairnwood Court out to Luas stop on Cookstown Way.
 10 Bancroft Park Install benches at Bancroft Park playspace.
 11 Dodder Valley Park Install seating in Dodder Valley Park.
 12 Avonmore Drive Install an additional streetlight at the side of Avonmore Drive.
 13 Seskin View Road to Millbrook Lawns Install public lighting on the path from Seskin View Road to Millbrook Lawns.
 14 Jobstown park Install seating in Jobstown park.
 15 Aylesbury Install public lighting at Aylesbury open space.
 16 Deerpark Avenue/Kiltipper Way roundabout Replace stone with resin bound gravel.
 17 Castle Park Provide public lighting along pathway from Castle Park to Tallaght Main Road.
 18 Tymon Park Automate gates at entrance to Basketball Arena.
