MOTION NO. 16

MOTION: Councillor P. Gogarty

That this Committee writes to the Minister for Education expressing concerns regarding the delay at providing temporary accommodation for Griffeen Community College and also, recognising the population increase and shortage of places, immediately enters discussions with the two existing primary schools in Adamstown with a view to commencing the building of further schools in the SDZ, the optimum solution which could include two junior and senior schools under the existing patrons.

If the motion is passed by the members, a letter will be written to the Minister in this regard and reply will be brought to a future meeting.
