"To ask the Chief Executive for an update on Corkagh Fisheries and what measures are being undertaken to have the amenity open again?"

The Corkagh Park Tyréns study was presented to the full Council meeting on 9th December.

Stage 3 of that plan, which is currently ongoing and is planned to be completed by the end of 2020, will research and make recommendations into commercial leisure opportunities, such as a commerical fishery. Initial indications indicate limited interest in operating a commercial fishery in the park.
It should be noted that Community fisheries facilities are provided in Ballymount Park.
