As part of the research, unofficial traffic counts and queue times were taken by staff.

Following the review of results of the unofficial traffic counts and queue times, a meeting was held at the Orlagh roundabout on Wednesday 06.11.19 at 8am, with Council staff and members of the NTA. The outcome of the meeting was the procurement of traffic counts and a 'tweaking' of the pedestrian signals on the eastern and western arms of the roundabout to give a little more time to vehicular movement within the cycle.

Traffic counts were taken on 03 Dec, the signals were changed before 7am on the morning of 04 Dec and a follow-up count taken on the same day (0r Dec). The report is expected on 18 Dec next.

Due to the delay in the traffic count report, the final report on the Orlagh roundabout will not be available at this meeting.
