QUESTION NO. 10

QUESTION: Councillor Carly Bailey

To ask the Chief Executive what if any plans there are regarding the very tall trees growing in Tymon Park to the right of the Limkiln Road entrance and how they intend to manage the risk of these trees falling in strong winds either within the park itself or onto private residents nearby?

REPLY:

The trees growing near the Limekiln Road entrance to Tymon Park are part of a natural woodland of mixed tree species. The trees are managed as part of the woodland tree management of the park and pose no risk  of falling. The woodland areas add to to the biodiversity of the park and is an environment for flora and fauna species within the park.
