QUESTION: Councillor L. O'Toole

This committee asks management to explain the changes made regarding Public Realm and Environment, what has been moved to Public Realm from Environment, such as bins etc.

REPLY:

There have been no changes made regarding the categorisation of PR and Environment.

Public Realm (PR) since its inception has been responsible for Cleansing Operations.

The installation, maintenance and collection of litter bins is an Operations matter. That falls under PR Operations.

The Litter Management Plan (and Litter Wardens, etc.) is a function of Enforcement & Licencing, which is a part of Environment.
