QUESTION: Councillor Joanna Tuffy

To ask the Chief Executive for a further an update on the stream at Tobermaclug and Adamstown SDZ in light of recent complaints to the Council about works in the vicinity of the stream.

REPLY:

The Council initiated a planning enforcement investigation into alleged unauthorised development in the area of Tobermaclugg stream on the 11th October 2019.

An inspection team visited the site on the 21st October 2019. While generally satisfied that the development was progressing in accordance with a grant of permission, some items were identified as requiring further information from the landowner before a decision could be made. Consequently, correspondence issued to the landowner requesting same.

As this correspondence includes a period for the landowner to respond, which has not yet expired, the matter currently rests.
