QUESTION: Councillor Joanna Tuffy

To ask the Chief Executive for an update on trees recently cut on the Celbridge Road leading to the N4 and adjacent to Weston estate (photo showing location attached) and the State agency responsible for these trees and the work carried out to them and any observations on the works concerned.

REPLY:

The tree work completed on the Celbridge Road leading to the N4 was carried out by a contractor, who was carrying out roadside hedge maintenance work on behalf of the Roads Department.  Unfortunately trees growing along the roadside were also cut. The trees were inspected and remediation work carried out.
