QUESTION: Councillor L. O'Toole

To ask the CE to list areas that have NOT had the tree removals completed as part of the current Tree removal programme and include which estates / areas are next on the programme for the Lucan area.  

REPLY:

In advance of any tree maintenance works being carried out, a full survey of all trees in an estate, is carried out to inform the scheduling of tree pruning and removal works. The tree maintenance schedule is placed on the Council's website www.sdcc.ie and an information card drop done to houses where removals will take place.

All areas on the current programme have had some tree removals completed - some to a greater or lesser degree based on the tree survey results.

A report on the next phase of areas listed for tree maintenance will be presented to the members in early 2020.
