MOTION: Councillor F. Timmons

"That this Committee welcomes and supports the Hate Speech Public Consultation currently being carried out by the Department of Justice, Equality and Law Reform and we ask that the Taoiseach leads the way to ensure that the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform enacts Criminal Law (Hate Crime) Legislation, so that we can all live in an inclusive Republic which values all of our minorities and the integrity of our communities. We commit to writing to the Taoiseach and the Minister for Justice. We also encourage and support interested citizens of our county to make a submission at the enclosed link"
