''That this Area Committee asks South Dublin County Council Libraries to do a display on James Michael Christopher Fitzmaurice DFC (6 January 1898 – 26 September 1965) who was an Irish aviation pioneer. He was a member of the crew of the Bremen, which made the first successful trans-Atlantic aircraft flight from East to West on 12–13 April 1928. He served in Baldonnel Aerodrome.  We ask that this display be displayed between Clondalkin Library and Bru Chrónáin.’’

REPORT:

"South Dublin Libraries will explore the possibility of an exhibition on James Michael Christopher Fitzmaurice from documents that are available on Source, South Dublin Libraries' online digital resource, to be displayed sometime in 2020 in Clondalkin Library, North Clondalkin Library and if possible Bru Chrónáin".
