MOTION NO. 10

MOTION: Councillor D. O'Donovan

That this Area Committee requests that the Manager presents a report on the upkeep and maintenance of the Orlagh Roundabout, especially in light of the recent works carried out there.  The area is overgrown and unsightly and in a worse state than before works were carried out last year.

REPORT:

Recent roadworks at the Orlagh roundabout prevented regular maintenance of the planting on the roundabout in 2018 and in the early part of 2019. This roundabout is included in the maintenance schedule for the Public Realm Section and maintenance works have been carried out there in recent days. The Council is also working in conjunction with local residents groups to improve the standard of upkeep in this general area.
