QUESTION NO. 4

QUESTION: Councillor Yvonne Collins

To ask the Chief Executive to reduce the height of the tall trees growing in Tymon Park close to the boundary wall with Rushbrook Road, Kennington Road,Kennington Crescent and Kennington Close to avoid risk of the trees blowing onto these properties which is a matter of concern to the residents

REPLY:

The tree planting at the boundary of Tymon park is being examined. It is proposed to introduce a phased maintenance plan of the areas - this will include the removal of trees and shrubs growing within 4 meters of the boundary wall and also the removal of large poplars in the area. This work will commence within the next 3 months. Notification will be placed on the Council's website www.sdcc.ie on the Tree Management page.
