QUESTION: Councillor E. O'Brien

To ask the Chief Executive to outline the number of water fountains which it is intended to install in the Lucan area in the next 12 months and the location of these installations.

REPLY:

In addition to the two water fonts already installed in Griffeen Valley Park (beside the skatepark and the playground) it is proposed to install a water font at the Newcastle Road Car Park to serve the hockey, athletics, football and teenage facilities in this section of the Park.

A new font will also be installed in Lucan Village. The location for the font is at the junction of the Village Green/ Dispensary Lane in front of Muintir Na Tire.

The Haydens Lane end of the park will also be assessed as a possible location and is subject to the identification of an accessible water supply.
