QUESTION NO. 23

To ask the Chief Executive if there have been any recent contact between the Council and the owners of Palmerstown Business Park (former VLByrne site) and if there are to indicate how much time remains before the current planning permission runs out.

REPLY:

Permission was granted under Register Reference SD09A/0021 for a mixed-use development on the former Vinny Byrne site. This permission was extended until 20^th May 2020 by which time any development is to be complete.

An application for residential development under the SHD process was refused by An Bord Pleanala earlier this year. Since that time the applicants have had contact with the Planning Authority under section 247 (pre-planning) of the Planning and Development Acts.
