QUESTION: Councillor F. Timmons

"To ask the Chief Executive to issue a report into when the Outer Ring Road in Newcastle will be built and has money been allocated for same to alleviate traffic congestion in the area as per Newcastle Local Area Plan?"

REPLY:

The road which is the subject of the query is called the “Western Orbital Route (North)  - Tootenhill to the Leixlip Interchange”

It is a medium to long term objective on South Dublin County Council’s 2016 - 2022 Development Plan.

It has not been included in the 3 Year Capital Programme 2019 – 2021.

There are no plans for this scheme in the near future.
