QUESTION: Councillor L. O'Toole

To ask CE if a report has been received in relation to previous question on the HGV restriction ban, on the Newcastle road.

 REPLY:

Previous requests and replies indicated that the matter would be examined when the R120 is completed. 

As the R120 works are now substantially completed and handed over, the matter will be examined in accordance with the Council's HGV policy. 

It should be noted that in order to enhane safety in the vicinity of schools a 12.5 t Weight Restriction, with appropriate signage, is in place on the Adamstown Road from Junction with N4 to juction with Tandy's Lane / Esker Road. 

Applicable Hours: School Time 8.00 am to 9.30 am and between 13.00 pm and 16.00pm Monday to Friday - School Year only.

No reply has been received from An Garda Siochana regarding fines issued on the Newcastle Road.
