MOTION: Councillor L. O'Toole

 

This committee requests that the Chief Executive to carry out a full traffic study at the junction of Dodsborough Road and the L1018 (Cornmill Road) which leads onto the N4 slip road. Road users have highlighted difficulty in entering onto / off this junction due to increase in traffic.

 

REPORT:

SDCC traffic section have carried out a study of the area as requested.

We advise that the location functions as a traditional T-Junction where traffic on the side road yields to traffic using the main road (in this case the N4 slip).

The road sign is visible and the site lines are adequate. The volume of traffic using either road is outside the scope of this study.

If road users are experiencing other specific problems, they should report the details of these to a member for raising through the TMM agenda.
