MOTION: Councillor M. Ward

Early intervention is key to a child's development. The Get Ahead club that operates an after-school programme in North Clondalkin in schools in Balgaddy, Rowlagh, Neilstown and Quarryvale is under threat due to a restructuring of funding from TUSLA.

This committee writes to the Minister of Children and Youth affairs Katherine Zappone and ask her to immediately intervene so this funding can be directed in order for this vital service to continue.
