QUESTION NO. 26

QUESTION: Councillor C. O'Connor

"To ask the CEO to state what decisions have been taken in respect of the request for Double Yellow Lines raised at the last meeting of the Tallaght Traffic Management meet (ref Aug 67781); will he appreciate the strong case made by the Gardai and make a statement?"

REPLY:

"This location was inspected by Traffic Management Staff and the matter discussed at the September Traffic Management Meeting.  At that meeting it was advised that the Council consideres that the existing arrangements at this location are adequate as there is over 330 meters of double yellow lines already in place and with Garda presence on match days, parking may be restriced as they see fit.

However, Gardai present at the TMM agreed to seek clarification from local Gardai to ascertain if there is a particular issue, and will inspect the location on the next match day at the Stadium.

A report will be brought back to the November Traffic Management Meeting."
