MOTION NO. 13

MOTION: Councillor L. O'Toole

That this committee ask the Chief Executive to update the members on the current status of the Lucan United all weather pitch development. To include details on the monitoring committee agreed in the previous council, which consists of stakeholders from various groups including Lucan United and Airlie Heights residents.

REPORT:

South Dublin County Council recently met with representatives from Lucan United FC. They advised us that they are finalising the financial matters relating to the pitch development. South Dublin County Council hope to commence shortly but we do not have a firm start date.

The local monitoring committee was agreed to be formed following the construction of the all-weather pitch to monitor the operation of it on an on-going basis. As the construction has not been completed, the Local Monitoring Committee has not yet been established.

The membership of the committee will comprise of the following membership;

SDCC Management x2

Airlie Residents Association x 2

Lucan United FC x2

Local Elected Representatives x2
