QUESTION: Councillor Joanna Tuffy

To ask the Chief Executive for an update on traffic congestion in Lucan Village, in particular traffic that passes over the span bridge. Has there been any examination of the impact of this traffic on the structure of the bridge 

 

REPLY:

Lucan Bridge was last inspected in 2012 and no issues were discovered. It is hoped to survey all  bridges in our Administrative area in 2020.

The Lucan Village Renewal project is included in the 2019 - 2021 3 Year Capital Programme. A revision of the design for the project is underway. There are currently no proposals in advance of the design completion and the Part 8 procedure.
