QUESTION: Councillor Mary Seery-Kearney
Allotments
To ask the Chief Executive to report giving details in relation to the process of the creation of space for and allocation of allotments, whether interest has been expressed to the Council and if so what level of uptake is evident.
REPLY:
There are four allotment sites operated by South Dublin County Council.
There are currently 73 people on waiting list for plots at the above locations.
There is an implementation study for the proposed improvements at Corkagh Park currently underway and a report will be presented to the Council shortly. Included in the study is an examination of the existing allotment area within Corkagh Park.
Also, a design is currently underway for new allotments at Tymon Park.
