QUESTION NO. 11
QUESTION: Councillor Mary Seery-Kearney
To ask the Chief Executive if there is any bye-laws or restrictions in relation to out of service buses using roads not designated as a bus route as a rat run to their depot in Ballymount and if he would care to make a statement in relation to the matter.
REPLY:
A bus is like any other vehicle using a public road. Once it abides by weight, height and any other relevant restrictions that are placed on the road being used, there is no breach/ offence committed. As such, there are no regulations or bye laws restricting buses on the public road.
