QUESTION 27
QUESTION: Cllr. Fintan McCarthy
To ask the Manager to comment upon the steps that could be taken to create a bye-law that would prohibit the parking of cars on grass margins and footpaths in residential areas for the purposes of advertising them for sale?
REPLY:
Under Article 36 (i) of the Road Traffic (Traffic and Parking) Regulations, 1997 it is an offence to park a vehicle on a footway, a grass margin or a median strip. Enforcement of this regulation is a matter for the Gardai.
